ON: Fully-funded leadership programmes to support Welsh businesses

10th Jul 2020

Thanks to support from the European Social Fund through Welsh Government, ION are now able to offer leadership programmes fully-funded until the end of August 2021.

After having to postpone a number of programmes earlier this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, leadership programmes will re-start in September 2020. ION will also be running an enhanced innovation programme starting in November.

“2020 has been a challenging year for businesses in Wales, and we are delighted to be able to support leaders by offering our programmes fully-funded,” Programme Director Gary Walpole said.

“Our programmes are traditionally delivered face-to-face, but we have adapted delivery to provide a blended learning approach. Programmes will start virtually with the aim of having more face-to-face sessions towards the end of each cohort.

“We are hugely looking forward to working with business owners across Wales to help them revive their businesses and go on to thrive in what has been a very turbulent year.”

ION leadership is backed by £3.6m from the European Social Fund to raise skills and drive productivity and turnover in businesses in west Wales, the Valleys and areas of north Wales. ION has supported over 1400 leaders in over 1000 businesses to develop sustainable and profitable enterprises, over the last decade.

The fully-funded programme is available to businesses and individuals across Wales who meet certain eligibility criteria. You can find out more on ION’s website.
